...Where Does My Joy Come From?

People will suck the life out of you.
Talk to you about their problems and struggles constantly,
Almost as though happiness was not even a word in their book.
They curse. They scowl. They act as though there is no hope.
Often I am asked what my hope is.
"I've found life", I tell them.
"I've found life and joy through God."
Because when I am hurting.
When I am struggling.
When I am in pain.
I know that God is going to be there.
I know that I am not alone in all of this.
People can rely on others all they want for their own happiness,
But almost all of the time they are going to be let down.
How fantastic would it be,
To have someone that will never leave you?
Well let me tell you my friends,
It is absolutely amazing.
It's one of the best feelings in the world.
Now don't think that my life is perfect.
Don't think my life is always positive.
Don't think I don't struggle.
Trust me, I do.
Probably more times than you could ever count.
But to know that I will always get through it with God's help,
There is no better thing out there.
I don't know where I would be without him by my side.
Quite honestly, I don't even know if I'd be alive.
But here I am.
Trying to spread the beautiful joy and happiness I have deep down inside.
Trying to inspire.
Trying to help others who think there's no hope in this world...
Realize that there is.
