Beautiful Lyrics.
I guess I just wanted to talk a little bit about music today. So if there is anyone out there that actually cares about my talk sessions or want to hear some of my
To me, it's one of the most important things in the world.
True music is one of the most inspiring things.
To hear passionate lyrics that was written from someone's life,
To feel their happiness.
To feel their pain.
To know their struggles and hardships.
Have made me the person I am today.
Saying music is "Powerful" is a total understatement.
It has saved lives.
It has changed hearts.
Even when people aren't there...
When life seems to be too much to handle...
Or when you just want to give up...
The lyrics of a passionate song is beautifully moving.
So if you'd like to hear some of my favorite song lyrics, some that are simply genius and some that have deeply impacted and moved me, stay tuned. (If you'd like to know what songs these are from just drop me a wee comment and I'll let you know and hopefully introduce you to some awesome new music.) For those who don't want to do so, thank you for reading and as always make sure and let me know your thoughts.
Recognize any of these lyrics?

"Your the reason I live.
Your the reason I die.
Your the reason I give.
When I break down and cry."
"No you'll never be alone,
When darkness comes,
You know I'm never far,
Hear my whispers in the dark."
"My heart is broke,
But I have some glue.
Help me exhale,
And mend is with you."
"We've got to hold on,
To what we've got.
It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not.
We've got each other,
And that's a lot for love.
We'll give it a shot."

I haven't heard those lyrics before but they're awesome.
ReplyDeleteMy entire worldview has often been shaped by music. It's such an awesome medium.
"Like the rising tide,
beating hearts grow but never die,
to simplify,
I'll stand by your side,
close my eyes.
Hope will never die."
-Atreyu
"The thing that matters most in life,
cannot be taken away.
There will never be a reason why
I will surrender to your advice to
change myself. I'd rather die,
though you will not understand.
I won't make the greatest sacrifice,
you won't forget where the outcome lies.
You'll never take me alive."
-Disturbed
"My brother had a book he would hold with pride,
a little red cover with a broken spine.
On the back, he handwrote a quote inside:
When the rich wage war it's the poor who die."
-Mike Shinoda/Linkin Park
"I will not be forgotten, this is my time to shine.
I've got the scars to prove it, only the strong survive.
I'm not afraid of dying, everyone has their time.
I've never favored weakness: Welcome to the pride."
Five Finger Death Punch
And my current favorite swimming around my head by a Day to Remember:
"Let's leave no words unspoken
And save regrets for the broken.
Will you even look back when you think of me?
All I want is a place to call my own,
To mend the hearts of everyone
Who feels alone (whoa)
You know to keep your hopes up high
And your head down low."
I totally agree, such a powerful thing, music.

A found poem made with lyrics a great idea! I love Bon Jovie! (sp)last stanza. I know the others too but can't think of the names of the songs. I just love music and I even write to music prompts. If you have never done it, it's fun! Nice poem!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, Bon Jovi. Gotta love those gents! Thanks love! <3

A lovely post, Mak. And you're right, music and lyrics are extremely powerful - they bypass the mind and go straight to our emotions - the ones that make you cry and the ones that make you want to get up and dance! Thanks for sharing the poem as well - lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Teagan. How nice of you to say - I totally agree, 100%. :D
